Quick Phone
This program was written to be easy on the system resources. It was coded in C and calls windows API directly rather than depending on libraries such as MFC and OWL. It loads fast and stays out of the way of other programs by staying in the system tray. It has a minimal but powerful interface (the program is only 35KB!).
Features:
- Stays in the tray.
- Each user of the computer has separate phone book and settings.
- List is sorted in alphabetical order.
Version 1.0 is available for download. I lost the source code for the previous version in a HD crash so had to redesign from scratch. This program will not read numbers stored by the previous version.
Note: Please do not use this application to store numbers permanently. The data storage is not as robust as any of the commercial databases. Always have a backup elsewhere. Although I have not encountered any errors so far, there is always the possibility that something may corrupt the data!
